My younger sister, Megan, is a visual artist and disability rights advocate. She commissioned me to create artwork about long-term disability and, in general, access to healthcare for people with long-term disability. The artwork was used on t-shirts and tote bags that were offered as premiums for a fundraising effort she undertook to help her pay for travel to an academic conference in London that she spoke at.
